Both an entrepreneur and an intrapreneur, Linsey (linkedin.com/in/linseydyer) is passionate about doing good business through sustainable infrastructure business cases and good governance. Linsey has multi-sectoral, multi-party business and project development, project management and design experience, in 41 countries (34 of which in Africa) on three continents.
She began her career as a hydro technical engineer in 1988, moved to South Africa in 1997 and launched herself into sustainable infrastructure investment in Africa. She has collaborated with both the public and private sectors at local, national, regional and continental levels to help establish an enabling environment for investment, unpack the challenges and tell the success stories. She is currently spearheading the establishment of an integrated energy solutions company, ENDEVA (www.endevaenergy.com), an innovative group at the nexus of energy, water, agro-food and waste management with a deep understanding of private investment in Africa.
Linsey is an active member of the Sustainable Development Forum of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IoDSA), and is passionate about initiatives which promote teenage girls accessing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
Linsey earned her B. Eng. (Civil) at McGill University, Montréal, Québec, Canada. She is the Past Advocacy Director, Australian Business Chamber of Commerce (Southern Africa) and the Past Chairman, South Africa – Canada Chamber of Business.
